Yesterday, at long last, I was able to pick up my new SUV from South Dock - a 2004 Jeep Liberty in that most suitable colour for an island vehicle, white (it doesn’t show the dust as much as darker colours 
).
You can buy vehicles here of course, but choice is limited and prices high, so often it pays to import something from Florida, which is what I did. Read the rest of this entry »
I found this little guy (or gal - I didn’t ask) wandering around the worktop in my kitchen this evening, so I offered him or her an impromptu portrait session. He’s a Tropical House Gecko - there are several in the house, and you often see them running up the walls, but not usually out in the open like this. Read the rest of this entry »
As some of you may know, I am a member of the Digital Wedding Forum, a worldwide association of professional photographers who mainly shoot weddings and portraits.
This year of course was a Leap Year, so DWF member Peter Finger suggested that DWFers around the world should all contribute one or two photographs from their locales to celebrate the unique day of February 29th 2008! Apologies to both my regular readers out there for the absence of updates here in the last few months - the usual excuse of “busy at work” applies, I’m afraid.

Only 5 weeks to the show! In case you haven’t heard, the art of pantomime is back in the TCI!
Two years ago, John Garvin and his motley crew of amateur actors put on the first pantomime to be performed in Turks & Caicos, “A Caribbean Cinderella”, under the aegis of the Turks & Caicos Friends of the Arts Foundation - and it was a huge local hit, though a transfer to Broadway sadly didn’t happen…
