WPPI Awards of Excellence 2007
A bit of excitement this week - three of my photos were given an “Award of Excellence” at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) Convention in Las Vegas!
This was the first time that Tropical Imaging had entered any photo competition - we thought it was about time we saw how we measure up against our colleagues in the rest of the world! So we entered three 16×20 prints by each of our five principal photographers.
As it turned out, we’re not bad! We didn’t win any top prizes, but all our photos scored in the high 70’s (out of 100), and eight out of twelve shots scored over 80 and qualified for “Awards of Excellence”. Only 150 out of 2,700 entries reached this standard, so I was very excited to have all three of my images qualify.
