Total eclipse of the Moon

Gone fishin’

fishing reelThis week I had a slightly different photo shoot from the usual. We had a family come down from Nashville TN to celebrate their grandfather’s 60th birthday, and they decided to hire Tropical Imaging to cover the festivities and produce a commemorative album.

We kicked off with a birthday party on the beach on Monday night, a fishing trip yesterday with local boat charter company Silver Deep, and a cruise around the islands for the whole family on one of Sail Provo’s catamarans today. Read the rest of this entry »

Flowers of the islands

flowersTurks & Caicos doesn’t have the kind of lush vegetation that most people associate with “Caribbean” islands - geographically we’re part of the Bahamas chain so our climate is drier. Even so we do have some flowering plants that grow wild, and with a bit of irrigation almost anything will grow amazingly well in the sunshine!

So today I though I’d wander around for a bit with the 105mm macro lens on the camera and see what I could find around my house and Andy & Krystin’s next door…
